AMEP receives 53 innovative collaborative proposals

In March and April, Australia Mongolia Extractives Program Phase 2 (AMEP 2) has organized a series of information and technical sessions to help guide government, industry, and civil society partners’ submission of collaborative proposals for AMEP 2’s consideration. As a result, AMEP 2 has received 53 proposals from civil society organizations, educational institutions, professional associations, industry, and government.

Rena Guenduez, AMEP 2 Team Leader, said, “We would like to thank all the participants who have contributed their ideas and innovative approaches for Mongolia to improve its investment environment in the extractives sector. Through collaboration with our partners, AMEP 2 can help Mongolia sustainably grow its resource-led economy.”

In May 2022, AMEP 2’s Advisory Committee will review and finalize proposals that are shortlisted by AMEP 2 team and its Activity Selection Criteria. Proposals will then be sent to the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade and the Mongolia’s Ministry of Finance for final approval.
