AMEP initiates consultation with partners

As an on-demand facility, AMEP consistently engages its partners in identifying and implementing activities that contribute to the improved investment environment for Mongolia’s extractives sector. AMEP is excited to initiate the next round of activity plans for 2020-2021. “We kindly ask our partners to start thinking about their respective agencies’ priority areas that might benefit from AMEP’s technical assistance and contribute to achieving AMEP’s goal” said Mrs. Kirsten Livermore, AMEP 2 Team Leader. “We carefully assess all potential activities on four criteria,” she added. These four criteria are:

  • Relevance: Would the proposed outcome of the project logically contribute to AMEP’s outcome of improving the investment environment?
  • Clarity: Is the proposed outcome clear and expressible as an objective defined by quality, quantity and time?
  • Ownership: Is there a wide enough interest in the change to ensure that it is likely to be supported and implemented?
  • Collaboration: Does the proposal promote working together across government, or between government and the private sector and/or civil society?

AMEP 2 plans to organize a series of stakeholder consultations in April and May, 2020 contingent upon the status of coronavirus restrictions. In the meantime, anyone who is interested in collaborating with AMEP 2 can contact Ms. Oyunbileg Purev, Partnership Manager  via email at oyunbileg@amep.mn.
