AMEP 2 supports the digitalization of exploration licencing
Australia Mongolia Extractives Program (AMEP 2) has been working the Ministry of Mining and Heavy Industry, the Mineral Resources and Petroleum Authority of Mongolia, and the National Geological Survey to create a submenu under the existing platform tender.gov.mn.
On April 15, 2022, the MMHI and government agencies have gathered 200 businesses who were trained on how to use the new sub-menu under tender.gov.mn. The digitalization of exploration license tender processing supports the Government of Mongolia’s effort to make the process of the issuance of mineral explorations licence transparent and, consequently, to attract foreign investment.
